ABOUT
As a trained teacher and family therapist, I have worked for several years with teaching and treatment at various schools for vulnerable young people. At the same time, a great interest in working with trauma grew in line with the many conversations I had in my work with young people.
I first certified myself in narrative trauma psychology and continued my specialisation in body psychotherapeutic trauma treatment. My understanding of the psychology of trauma is not only acquired through academia, but in particular from my own life experiences.
As a trauma therapist, I have worked with trauma and PTSD sufferers, both in one-to-one sessions and teaching groups in psychoeducation (the knowledge of psychiatric disorders and their effects).
In my work, I am inspired by and make use of methods from different therapeutic schools and approaches: EFT (Emotion focused therapy), ISP (Integral Somatic Psychology), attachment work as described by John Bowlby and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy)
Besides my clinical practice I work as a school therapist and as facilitator in The Secure Base Lab (A leading community for attachment psychology) and I do regularly workshops in Denmark and Sweden.
As a therapist, I receive regular supervision in my professional work.
Today I live in Svenshögen, a small village close to forest and lake, located 45 minutes north of Gothenburg. I live with my partner and our 3-year-old daughter.
